ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Destiny

Dear Neighbor,
Chatham deserves a fresh perspective on our future and someone who will fight to be inclusive of every member of our community. That is why I am running to be your Town Board member in Chatham.
I grew up in Chatham as a product of a dedicated and resilient single mother. From her example, I learned the meaning of hard work and the importance of family. I am pleased to have a loving family that lives scattered around Columbia County.
I graduated from Chatham High School in 2018. I have always loved our tight-knit community and our traditions. After graduation, I lived briefly in New York City where I attended Baruch College. From a bit of soul searching and a few long walks in Central Park, I missed my home in Chatham. I transferred to Union College where I currently attend and will be graduating with a bachelor’s in History in June of 2022. With my time at Baruch and Union, I rose to the position of President of College Democrats of New York, where I led an organization of 30 college chapters through the 2019 and 2020 election cycles. I also currently serve as a district representative to the Columbia County Democratic Executive Committee.
Service has always been a strong part of my life. Whether through waiting tables in various local restaurants or community service organizations, I am passionate about making positive substantial change on my community. In May of 2020, I was elected to the Chatham School Board of Education. I love my work on the school board, giving back to a district that has given me so much.
When not working, studying, or electing Democrats, I enjoy running and hiking the great trails across Columbia County.
